Bruce passed away in Roswell in January 2010. A vibrant and active man, Bruce owned an accounting firm, was a huge NMSU booster, veteran, and distance runner -- dozens of marathons. He contracted a very rare disease, amyloidosis, which he fought for several years before passing away. Known as 'Smiley', he lit up the room and was extremenly generous with his time, donations, and civic efforts.
